MIXORA CONCEPT
Kubelka–Munk model
A model relating absorption, scattering and reflectance in diffusely scattering layers such as many paints.
The model gives Mixora a more material-aware way to estimate opaque pigment mixtures than interpolating RGB values. Its usefulness still depends on the quality of the paint spectra and assumptions about layer behavior.
What “Strong evidence” means
The core definition or effect is well established across authoritative standards, foundational research or a broad research literature. The label does not make every practical prediction certain.
