MIXORA CONCEPT
Color gamut
The range of colors a device, process or chosen set of colorants can produce.
Every screen, printer and paint palette has limits. A target outside the reachable gamut cannot be matched exactly by better ratios alone.
What “Strong evidence” means
The core definition or effect is well established across authoritative standards, foundational research or a broad research literature. The label does not make every practical prediction certain.
VISUAL EXPLANATION · MARKER BOARDA fluorescent screen green may lie outside the gamut of ordinary matte paints.
A larger palette does not automatically create every color if its pigments share similar limitations.
Is the target reachable with this material system at all?
Combining emitted light so that the light reaching the eye contains more energy or more wavelength regions.
→colorPigmentA material that changes reflected or transmitted light through selective absorption and scattering.
→color × bridgeDelta EA numerical estimate of perceived difference between two specified colors in a color space.
